An integrated Engineering System – from Development, to Design and Production

Hitachi is advancing research and development into the future by bringing staff from head office, research centres and plants to work closely together as one team to conduct research and develop new technologies.

In Hitachi Ltd., Japan, in order to advance research and development, the engineering staff work in close cooperation with the engineering staff of Hitachi Research Laboratory. Hitachi Ltd., Japan has one of the most advanced research facilities in the industry, which is the Elevator Research Tower. By using these facilities and other simulators for engineering design, Hitachi’s strong R&D team in Japan are able to share their advanced research and development knowledge throughout the global company.

Today, our local R&D team works based on this integrated engineering system to work closely with our parent company, Hitachi Ltd., Japan. We ensure that we receive up to date knowledge from them on manufacturing and the latest technology and continuously strive to make improvements and advancements on each and every one of our Elevators, Escalators and Moving SideWalks.
